When You Talk about Pune City and its royal heritage then the first name must be Sinhagad Fort.I moved to Pune in September 2014 and all I wanted to do is exploring this new city on weekends and tick down my bucket list.It always feels great if you have a great group of friends who also love traveling. So I am blessed to have such weirdos in my life who are there to make plans and execute the same.
We Started trekking from the base village in the early morning around 6:30 am. we were heading to the top of the fort while walking on less traveled roads and climbing the rocks. We were exploring paths, wild plants and flowers (which are really good ones to capture in your DSLRs). If you want to do trekking then you really need good physical strength and endurance.Trekking is a good team building activity if you do it with your friends or colleagues.
That was really an awesome way towards top of fort. We reached to Pune Darwaja of Fort and that was the finish line of our trek. We headed to the most important thing ..Food !When you reach Sinhagad Fort don’t forget to try delicious food served by locals in tents situated near parking area or anywhere on fort. You will get to taste yummy curd in clay pot, Onion Bhajjis, Pithale-Bhakari, Raw Mango Pieces with spices 😛 ,boiled Ground Nuts and Corn. And Yes after eating all these food hot Tea!
So the first trek with theses crazy trekkers was super-duper awesome! I would like to say If you haven’t done trekking to Sinhagad then Please invest you one weekend to have this experience !
Meet you all soon with next travel story, till then keep spreading love and happiness 🙂
